Hi, I'm Benjamin Von Wong. I run a community called Dear Crisis, and I live at Lightning Lofts.

I'm curious to start getting to know my neighbors and my neighborhood: who's around, what we're each good at, and what we could make together. Partly because getting to know the people around you is the simplest kind of future-proofing there is. Mostly because it just makes life better, and every good thing a block ever does starts with people learning each other's names.

So this is me knocking on the neighborhood's door. We've started a little WhatsApp group for the stretch where Williamsburg meets Bushwick. We've been calling it Bushberg.
